Washington Hospital knows how important it is to have convenient access to care, especially when undergoing lengthy treatment. For those who suffer from lymphedema, the ability to receive treatment close to home is vital.
Lymphedema is a condition that can lead to excessive swelling of the limbs, commonly in the arms and legs, but can reach other parts of the body. The condition can be detrimental to both health and self-image - even making such tasks as dressing in the mornings more difficult.
The Lymphedema Services staff at Washington Hospital is certified to treat lymphedema patients, helping each patient learn how to manage the condition and keep it under control. Through special massage techniques and knowledge of the latest treatment options, our certified lymphedema therapists and physical therapists help sufferers regain control and take their lives back through quality, local care.
