Saving Lives with Free Screenings

Every year, Washington Hospital teams up with local sponsors to offer free screenings to community members who may be at risk for an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), a silent killer that affects the largest and most important artery in the body, the aorta – which is the main blood vessel leading away from our heart. The hospital also stages a popular Stroke Awareness Day screening that features important screening tests for stroke, including blood pressure, blood glucose (diabetes), electrocardiogram (EKG) for atrial fibriliation, and a chance to discuss the results of the screenings with a Washington Hospital medical staff physician. Most screenings require pre-registration. Please call (800) 963-7070 to pre-qualify.
